Hey. This is my first e-mail post.
The last post was way long.. hehe sorry.
Okay, I'm going to mention a few interesting things that can be done on
the Onslaught mode of Unreal Tournament 2004 [I only have the demo now].
This is with the demo map on default node settings.
- [the first basic pattern i developed:] As soon as the match starts,
grab the manta, run and touch the first node. Help it charge with the
link gun, and when it's almost done, hop into the manta. Speed to the
almost-linked corner node right beside you and touch it to get it
going.
- Get a vehicle or and speed over to the enemy base. Stock up on
weapons along the way.. spider mines are good. Quickly drive into the
enemy base, hopefully unnoticed. Run to the teleport thing to teleport
to the high tower for sniping fun. If someone followed you, it's a fun
little deathmatch up there on the tower. I usually place spider mines
around the teleport point so I at least know someone's onto me and they
will die a time or 2 before they get a shot at me. After you're up
there, You can just start sniping people. This is especially fun when
there is heavy battle at the next node and you can just pick people off.
If this is the case, and your team is ahead, it is also fun when your
teammates claim the last node. Then from your high perch, you can just
start unloading munitions onto the core. lol .
- Of course the classic fun of getting the manta and terrorizing the
other team is great. Just run in with it when there are a bunch of
enemies running around and crouch crouch crouch. lol
